Empoli Football Club has a long history spanning more than 100 years and was founded in the summer of 1920. Particular attention to the research and growth of young players has always set Empoli apart from other Italian teams, developing countless homegrown players and coaches who have gone on to play for the national team as well as bigger Italian clubs.
On the partnership, Firstbeat Sports Manager Matteo Viazzo says:
“I’m really proud that Empoli FC and its staff have chosen to use Firstbeat Sports Premium in order to monitor the training load and the recovery of their players, both for the First Team and the Academy.
Together with gpexe, this partnership shows Empoli’s commitment to optimizing performance and tracking player development. Particularly for the Academy, Firstbeat Sports helps players to reach their full potential by teaching them how to listen to their bodies. We’re excited to play our part by supporting them to reach their goals for this and future seasons.”
To date, Empoli has taken part in 15 Serie A and 24 Serie B Italian Football League championships, and also qualified for the UEFA Cup 2007/2008 championship. Firstbeat and gpexe are excited to continue supporting Empoli on their journey over the upcoming seasons.
Valerio Roberti, CEO at gpexe, says:
“It is a great pleasure to see Empoli FC, starting from the First Team to Primavera and Youth Teams, join gpexe again.
