Firstbeat was recently featured in Sky’s Heart Rate Challenge, where drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell, along with Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, competed to see who could push the heart rates of Sky F1 presenters the highest.
The challenge took place at the iconic Silverstone track, where the three drivers attempted to send the presenters’ heart rates soaring as they navigated the circuit at top speeds. The presenters had the tough task of staying as calm as possible while the drivers pushed the limits of their skills, drifting as much as possible, and bringing the cars dangerously close to the inside walls.
Equipped with Firstbeat’s advanced heart rate monitoring technology, the presenters’ reactions were tracked in real-time, adding an extra layer of intensity to the challenge.
The full challenge can be seen in the video below.
This exciting collaboration highlights the power of Firstbeat’s technology in real-world, high-pressure scenarios, demonstrating how our tools can monitor performance even in the most extreme conditions.
