Firstbeat Nominated in Two Categories for the WTS2016 Awards on 15-16 March in London
Firstbeat is set to make a splash at Wearable Technology Show 2016, in London, March 15-16, at the ExCel center. Firstbeat’s Lifestyle Assessment has been selected as a finalist for the WTS2016 Awards in two categories: Best Innovation and Best Consumer Product.
Firstbeat will also be present to contribute expertise to the panel discussion surrounding the future of smart textiles and Firstbeat representatives and products will be available throughout the show at booth number 20.
The Firstbeat Lifestyle Assessment is a professional-grade tool that utilizes heart rate variability (HRV) analysis to provide personalized insights for better well-being and performance. For individuals, it makes stress and recovery visible in a meaningful way to create a concrete connection between daily activities, lifestyle decisions and personal well-being. When used as part of corporate wellness programs it has proven effective in reducing illness related absenteeism.
WTS2016 Awards celebrate excellence and innovation in wearables and smart device technology. Over 200 products competed for these awards in 2015. Winners will be announced at a ceremony held March 15th as part of the show.
A special panel discussion entitled The Future of Smart Textiles is scheduled for March 16th at 11:00 as part of the event’s Smart Textiles and Embedded Sensors track. The discussion will be moderated by Professor Michael Reidbord from the New York Fashion Institute of Technology.
Firstbeat’s Head of Consumer Technologies, Aki Pulkkinen, will join this panel of experts to share insights from Firstbeat’s recent collaboration with Jabil, Clothing+, and Suunto that resulted in the Peak+ line of heartbeat monitoring textiles. He will contribute perspective gained during Firstbeat’s involvement in the development of Bosch Sensortec’s latest generation of sensor hubs which offer a miniature footprint and ultra-low power requirements necessary to make Firstbeat’s smarter analytics accessible in textile applications.
Attendees can expect an account of key drivers in the smart textiles sector, innovations that provide future growth, commercial opportunities, and how organizations can take advantage of the latest technological breakthroughs.
