Firstbeat will attend Wearables TechCon 2016 July 18-20 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California. This year’s Wearable TechCon is being held in conjunction with the Internet of Things TechCon to facilitate an exchange of information and ideas between developers, designers, builders, business decision makers and OEM’s.

Firstbeat CEO Joni Kettunen will join two panels during the event and perform theater talk during the networking reception.

The first, Getting the Competitive Edge: Wearables in Sports (July 18,10:30am), will feature expert conversation on topics surrounding how the ability to produce granular, actionable data helps teams wear championships today and is expected to transform the future of sports tomorrow. Kettunen will be joined by Ewan Robson from Catapult Sports and Jocelyn Vigreux, President of TomTom, Inc. The panel will be moderated by George Burke.

The second panel, Wearable Data Management (July 18, 12:00am), targets what can be done with the massive amounts of data produced by wearable users each minute and how that data can best be presented to the user. In addition to Firstbeat’s Kettunen, MyFitness Pal’s Innovation Lead Nick Crocker and Jenny Tong, Developer Advocate on Cloud at Google will join the discussion led by security expert Richard Fetik, CEO/CTO of Data Confidential.

Wearables TechCon includes a Networking Reception 5:00pm-7:00pm on Tuesday, July 19th. As part of that event, Firstbeat will be presenting a 15 minute Theater Talk, Fitness for Real: The Challenge of Measuring What Matters, to introduce a vision of how embedded physiological analytics create value for wearables and provide the foundation for lasting consumer interactions.

During the event, Firstbeat will be available at Booth 506.
