Firstbeat’s Training Load Monitoring Capabilities Highlighted at the 7th International HRV Symposium

Firstbeat’s Christoph Rottensteiner, Ph.D., will be a keynote speaker at the 7th International Heart Rate Variability Symposium. The symposium will provide an overview on the latest methods and applications of HRV in sports science and medicine and is scheduled to take place on March 4th in Halle (Saale), Germany.

His presentation will cover heart rate variability based parameters for monitoring training loads and their application in elite competitive sports. Calculations for Training Effect, EPOC and TRIMP, developed and improved by Firstbeat over over the past decade will be presented, using data from professional teams and athletes. In addition, the differences in these parameters will be explored in terms of sport, gender and age.
