The France Ice Hockey Federation (FFHG) will use the Firstbeat Sports athlete monitoring solution with their senior and junior Men and Women’s National Teams moving forward.
The national teams will use the next generation Firstbeat Sports Sensor and Firstbeat Sports app to access comprehensive internal and external load data in real-time during on-ice and gym sessions, and during post-session analysis. The ability to collect and upload data from different locations also provides a safeguard in the event remote training is required based on team circumstances and ongoing COVID-19-related issues.
As Firstbeat Sports users, “Les Bleus”, who’s Senior Men and Women’s teams rank 14th and 10th in the world per the latest IIHF rankings, will benefit from Firstbeat metrics and features including TRIMP/min, Anaerobic and Aerobic Training Effect visible in real time, Movement Load and Intensity, and more.
Firstbeat Sports data has been used in ice hockey for over a decade, with over half of NHL franchises and several national federations utilizing the technology as part of their training and recovery guidance including the likes of Carolina Hurricanes, Las Vegas Knights and San Jose Sharks.
